Paulygirl15: Evidence that the punch was faked.

Yesterday on digg there was a post linking to a video of Pauly Shore getting punched in the face by a heckler while performing a stand-up routine in Odessa, Texas.

A lot of people like to watch videos of people gettng hurt. Not me. It’s horrible to watch. In the clip, Pauly tells a heckler in front to stop talking during his act, but another member of the audience–twice the size of Pauly and wearing a ten-gallon cowboy hat–takes offense, goes up on stage and delivers a roundhouse punch to the side of Pauly’s head while the crowd cheers. An armed policeman escorts the man offstage followed by Pauly who’s last words to the audience is to call them “White trash.”

Not surprisingly, the comments on Digg were overwhelming negative towards Texas and Odessa. But by following a few leads to the MySpace pages of the owner of the club, Pauly Shore and “Joy,” who was in the audience that night, we uncover the real story. Here’s a message Joy just sent me:

The Pauly Shore “Punch” was staged..Evdently too well, considering all the bad publicity that Texas got..mainly Odessa..As for all the people who said bad things about Odessa and Texas..You don’t know this state very well in order to say such things..There are good people and bad people in ever state..And EVERY state has their own “rednecks”..If it was NOT staged the police would of been there in a heart beat. If it was NOT staged, the people in the audience would of stopped the “redneck’. We all love Pauly Shore and if we didn’t, we wouldn’t of gone there to begin with..As far as you saying the “drunken redneck”.. he wasn’t even drinking alchohol..He was only there to enjoy the show and was happy to help Pauly Shore with the “punch”..You need to read far down the story to see that he had pics taken with Pauly..So don’t judge others until you know the facts..Ths is a great state and a great town and we know how to take a joke..and alot of acting..hey..maybe ” hoss ” could be an actor since he was so convincing…

  1. Even when it’s staged, adult men with cowboy-hats just aren’t funny at all.. (yay, apparently I can post a comment from THIS IP-adress)
