Swine flu fails in Tokyo
It's the middle of the week already and the only extra masks I'm seeing are on service industry employees–convenience store cashiers and people working in restaurants mostly. I was expecting to see a repeat of what it was like in Osaka a few weeks ago where it looked like 9 out of 10 people were wearing a mask, widespread school closings, etc. Frankly, I'm disappointed. I enjoy seeing people overreact. Schnozzlefreud, or whatever it's called.
Update: Schadenfreude.

Yeah. Huge letdown:
Where's my week of special "flu panic" vacation, damn it!
I come to your blog every once and a while and hope to see a new entry. I remember when you first did podcasts and I still enjoy reading about the interesting things you have to say. I regret not writing on here as much though… I also regret not makig an attempt to say "Hey let's hang out!" when I was living in Japan.
Anyway, hope to read something new and interesting from you : )
