Published by Rich Pav at 6:03 am under News

But the top story on CNN.com right now is that Britney lost custody of her two children. I kid you not.

Burmese MonkThousands of protesters are dead and the bodies of hundreds of executed monks have been dumped in the jungle, a former intelligence officer for Burma's ruling junta has revealed.

The most senior official to defect so far, Hla Win, said: "Many more people have been killed in recent days than you've heard about. The bodies can be counted in several thousand."

Rich, this shows the sad state of the world, humans have proved that they cannot look after themselves. God is waiting to bring back peace to the earth (Rev 21)

*sigh* Even this article's right hand sidebar gives a good indication as to where people's heads are really at right now. It's ok, maybe people will start to pay attention when it begins happening in their own country. Its really unfortunately that most people don't care.

Rich, have you come across any good charities that directly benefit the Burmese people? I'm still looking here.

This is why I don't listen to the news here anymore and get it from outside sources like the BBC. No mention of Brit-Brit there. I wish I could pack up and leave sometimes.

@Christopher: ""The Democratic Voice of Burma was established in Oslo, Norway in 1992 and is broadcasting radio and TV to Burma. Due to current events, transmissions have increased to 24/7, which is very costly. To donate visit their website at http://english.dvb.no/ "
