Painfully learned wisdom is best acquired second hand.

Never try to swallow a mouthfull of pills with a cup of freshly brewed coffee.

My tongue tastes medium rare. And I can never remember, the pieces of flesh hanging down–are they stalagmites or stalactites?

  1. Burning the tongue is almost as bad as zipping your manhood in your zipper.

tites – hang down and hang tight
mites – grow tall with all their might

  2. or stalactites and stalagmites, c meaning cealing (stalactites) and g meaning ground (stalagmites)

  3. Stalagtites – the bits of flesh hanging from the roof of your mouth after eating a handful of captain crunch with no milk…

  4. Ahhh…those little roof-of-mouth skin blobs? I always called them “pizza burns” no matter what searing hot food or liquid cased the injury.

When a sharp food (not usually a liquid) creates the same effect, it is known in my house as “Dorito Shear”.

Suck on an ice cube ASAP.
