Twilight Zone — I'm a little freaked out

Published by Rich Pav at 6:53 pm under General

When I'm coding it seems like time speeds up 5-10 times. Is it like this for all programmers? I just spent 10 hours programming and honest to God, it seems like it's been only one hour. It's not fair!

Yup.. the same here. The worst is when you finally look at the time and realize it is a minute after the late train.. and you'll be there another 1.5 hours till the next train.
Oh wait.. the bar next door can take care of that..

Sorry to get off subject, but I thought you'd find this Podfather article from this morning's paper of interest.

Thanks for the link. Here's my favorite quote:

He credits his then-fiancee, now wife, Dutch-born singer Patricia Paay, for its creation.

"She'd get up with me to do my hair and makeup. She created my visual persona," and, Curry says, pausing, "I like it. No matter how much s — people give me, I love my hair."

I've probably said it a hundred times already, but his ability to take shit gracefully is what makes him able to be so successful. There are people who can't resist slagging him just from hearing the mention of his name, and it seems to roll right off him. He just keeps on being who he is. That said, it is possible it's due to him being perpetually stoned…

And you know what, I still haven't been able to walk up to him in SL and just say 'hi.' I'm afraid I'll go all fanboy and make an ass of myself.

Don't worry about it. It'll go away when you get burnt out and then every hour will feel like 10 and you'll spend hours surfing the net and listening to podcasts. :p
