It would be funny to open an oxygen bar that only offers plain old air and see how many customers claim to feel better after a hit. Just like how you can give people water in a bottle that came out of a garden hose, claiming it's pristine Amazonian glacial water, and they'll tell you how much better it tastes than the local tap water. The last time I built a site from scratch was around 1997 when I used Tango. It was an awesome platform, but it's no longer around. In short, ROR is pissing me off a lot. While it's true you can get a lot done with very little code, in many cases you have to write that code in a very, very specific way. The simplicity they show off in their screencasts to me seems to be false advertising to a certain degree. But the good part is the MVC framework prevents me from being my normal messy, unorganized self.
