It's OK to buy a 5G iPod now.
A company has come out with a line of external batteries that will power your iPod and other portable devices for between 50 and 200 hours, depending on the model.

Looks cool, except you'll need to carry another gadget in your bag.
I wonder if it works with laptops, that would be nice…
thats a good idea, but i assuming a laptop takes much more power to keep running compared to an ipod
but maybe it can be implimented, im no expert on these types of things
they do make ones for laptops, it's on the same page…but it says only Sony and Apple, so i don't know about other brands.
still no firewire support though. :-/
i had an the second release of the ipod photo (sold it), i have a black 4 gig nano at the moment, and a 1 gig shuffle… i'll probably sell the shuffle soon. i love the 4 gig nano, and will never sell it until a higher capacity nano come out. as for the new ipods… i'll probably wait until the 60 gig is even thinner/lighter, and/or they release an 80 gig (doubtful).
We miss your podcasts! Hope all is well.

Hey Rich,
I was just wondering if you were still going to continue doing your pod/video cast? I really enjoy it and have been waiting for the next installment…but anyways, I am sure you are busy with work and especially family. Just wanted to let you know that you've got a listener who is still interested in listening, not not that that should matter much.
Anyways, take care and I hope to hear/see more podcasts in the future
